TV3 Highlights

Hi all, check out the WTCC highlights show on TV3 at 9.30am Sunday morning(tomorrow) It features a couple of interviews with me and also a running commentary from Leo Nulty. During the season we will be bringing you some exciting behind the scenes footage.
Other than that i will take part in the famous Wicklow 200km cycling race tomorrow as part of my fitness program. I will keep you posted on how i get on!

Just home from Pau, France. One of the most enjoyable but demanding circuits that i have competed on. Scored important points in race one at least. Had dinner last night with Gabriele Tarquini, very enjoyable evening, this guy has some serious racing experience! We spoke about his time in Formula One when it was real racin! scary stuff! Back in Dublin now, its going to be a busy week for me training and preparing for BRNO, hopefully i can bring you some good news before the end of the week! Until then..

Bupa Ireland Run

Been pretty busy since my return form Brazil, was at the launch of the Harvey Nichols collection in association with Image Magazine last week, it was a great evening and the article looks really good in the mag.. Hi All, hope everyone is good.. Well as many of you have already heard, its official! I have sihned with GR Asia to drive in the WTCC for 2007 in a SEAT Leon. Its gonna be an exciting year! I fly out to Brazil early next week, so so busy at the minute training and finalising sponsorship programs for the year. Site will be having a re-vamp in the next couple of weeks... Snowboarding!

Just home from a weeks snowboarding and training in Slovakia, really interesting country, had a great time, was in Bratislava and Kosice for a couple of days and then drove up to the High Tatras to snowboard, snow was great for the last couple of days... Amazing scenery.. Going back for more next year!

Just on my way home now from Macau, i had a really productive few days there and i had a great time enjoying the night life too!! A really wild place but alot of fun! I spent alot of time with the GR Asia boys as i drove for them in Estoril, those guys worked so hard over the weekend and Tom Coronel did a great job to get the car on the Podium. My congratulations go to Andy Priaulx for winning the World Championship for the second year in a row.. Well done mate! I hope to reveal some exciting news about my future in the next few weeks. Hi all, hope your all good.. just to keep you in the picture! i have had a great responce my result in the European Cup, the last couple of weeks have seen some major developments for me with regard to my WTCC plans for 07.. I am off to Macau tommorow for the final round of the World Championship, with 9 drivers in the hunt for Andy's crown it should be an exciting finale! I will have a busy couple of days out there as i have many important meetings and i will spend much of my time with the GR squad.. When i have news i will update! Until then.. Take care..

Qualifying was great, to be on the second row i am pretty happy. The car felt mega on new tyres.. It started to spit rain in the last few mins, the weather is very changable down here in Portugal but its pretty warm.. Im going to hit the hay and get a good nights sleep before tomorrow's European battle commences!

The news is out, i have joined GR Asia the 2006 WTCC Independant Champions for the ETC Cup, i had a great test in Valencia this week and i am very much looking forward to the ETCC in Estoril.. Hi all, sorry i have not been updating recently.. I have had many meetings about my future and all i can say at the moment is watch this space! In the next week i will announce my future in touring cars. Today i ran in the Dublin Half Marathon which started in the Phoenix Park near the city centre. I completed it 1hr55mins! Not so fast but i am happy that i finished the 13.3 miles!! I had to take two breaks because of my injured knee but i have to say i enjoyed the experiance and the atmosphere of the whole event. Very Stiff !!!

Hi all, just arrived back to Europe from Brazil, my flight got cancelled last night from Sao Paolo! Got transfered to London instead.. I am now waiting to for my flight to Dublin but it will be delayed for 3 hours due to a bomb scare in Dub airport! Could this trip be any longer!! Other that that I am very stiff today since Sunday, my Dad has arranged for me to get a scan and check up as soon as I get back to Dublin! He feels that I may be stil concussed.. I had a great time in Brazil apart from the shunt.. Great people, country and spirit... Talk soon.. Em

Qualifying was quite good, but we had set the car up to be very fast over only two laps so that compromised me a little.. I am 20th overall and 3rd in the independants.. Great Circuit Tour

This morning I was lucky enough to be given a detailed tour of the Curitiba Circuit by Nono Figueiredo, he drives in the National Brazilian Touring Car Championship, it was great to be shown around by a driver who knows his stuff and its going to make a big difference to me this weekend on what looks like a super fast circuit! So many thanks Nono, and good luck in your race this weekend in Sao Paolo!! After that I had to be at an autograph session in the centre of Curitiba at the HSBC Bank, even though its quite cold here, there was a huge croud out to see the WTCC Circus arrive in town! Then this evening I was invited by the Mayor Of Curitiba to WTCC press conference in a beautiful country club, it was a great evening.. First free practice tomorrow at 3... Until then.. Em

I am packed now and ready to go.. Leaving in the morning for Berlin and then on to Sao Paolo, and then finally on to Curitiba! I have some friends down in Curitiba so i will meet up with them and be shown the sites! Other than that I have been very busy with meetings for the last two weeks about my WTCC Future.. Well this week I have been taking it easy after a couple of busy weeks racing. I have been training this week and working hard on my Cardio Fitness.. I received a nice suprise in the post this morning from one of my biggest supporters Jude from www.bimmerfreak.com, who sent me some carbon fibre SMG paddles for my M3.. Awesome! On another note I want to wish my mate Adam Carroll the very best of luck in the Formula One support race this weekend at Silverstone in the GP2 race.. I know its a big weekend for him being his home race.. Thats all for now. Back soon.. Em

Tough weekend at the office!

Home now! Monday night, pretty tired I have to say, the second race yesterday was probably the hardest race I have ever done, trying to keep the car on the circuit was so difficult.. Struggled with set up and as a result the car had very little grip on probably the most technical and twisty circuit on the WTCC calender! Gearbox failure in the first race didnt help matters.. Went out in Berlin with my brother last night, a long night was had! Was on the guestlist to Club Dante, great club, people and city... Talk soon..

Frantic qualifying

With three minutes to go I was lying 14th overall and 2nd in the Independants! The session was wet to start with and then dried out towards the end.. A last lap effort was looking like an overall top ten time until I made a big mistake and went off just after the Hotel Corner.. Hands up it was my mistake, I threw caution to the wind and went for it.. Didnt work out but I am 6th in the Independants and 21st overall.. Maximum attack tomorrow... Until then.. Em

Hello, well im packed and ready to go to Germany for races 7 & 8 of the WTCC.. I have to get up at 4am to catch my flight to Berlin!! Then drive to Magdeburg the closest city to the Oschersleben.. BMW Fashion Awards 2006

I am just home from the 10th Anniversary BMW Fashion Awards that were held in Univsersity College Dublin to fundraise for the Irish Heart Foundation.. I have to say that i had a great time! I was not too sure what to expect, being the only male at the table that I was sitting at certainly made it more exciting! It was held for a really good cause, The Irish Heart Foundation do great work.. My thanks to Sean Green, Michael Nugent and Patricia Crowley from BMW Ireland for the invite... A day off from the gym was much needed and what a better way to spend it being entertained by beautiful girls on a catwalk!!

Another race done... It's difficult to say how I feel after Brands Hatch, starting from the back to come through and lead and then have a tech problem and spin off... Showed I had really good wet weather pace, but no race win! I learned alot from the weekend and showed alot of people what I can do.. Flew back to Dublin late last night. I am now sorting myself out for the next race in Germany. Back to the gym tomorrow! Thanks to everybody who made the trip to Brands to support me.
