The story so far...
In 2005 I competed in the European Alfa Championship with Italian Champions PRS Speed Group Racing. It was a good year, and I got to learn some of the biggest circuits in Europe from Italy to France, San Marino, Belgium, Germany and Spain. After a long season long battle I won the European Alfa Challenge Rookie Title. The Championship supported the mighty World Touring Car Championship, It was clearly the best place for me to be as it led to a position with the 2005 Independent Champions, Wiechers Sport BMW World Touring Car Team, I competed with this team in the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship. Towards the end of the year I switched to 2006 WTCC Independent champions GR Asia SEAT where I competed in the 2006 FIA European Touring Car Cup at Estoril, in the torrential rain I finished 2nd overall in what was to be one of my best achievements to date.
2007 was a tough year in the World Touring Car Championship with GR Asia SEAT, with ageing equipment I held 4th place until budget problems forced me out of the championship. I received a last minute call by Poulsen BMW Motorsport to enter the FIA European Touring Car Cup in Adria, Italy. I was top BMW qualifier in 6th position and scored a podium in race one and 5th in race two. I was placed 4th overall in the event and scooped enough points to place Ireland 3rd in the Nations Cup.
For 2008 I will compete in the Danish Touring Car Championship with Poulsen BMW Motorsport against some really tough competition. It’s one of the most competitive National Touring Car Series in Europe and I’m looking forward to a great year where I will also compete in selected rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
